Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

Nitrous oxide is the mildest form of sedation available, delivered through a small mask placed over your nose. It induces a light, relaxed state within minutes, helping ease anxiety while keeping you fully conscious and able to communicate throughout your procedure. Its effects wear off almost immediately after treatment, allowing most patients to drive themselves home.

Oral Conscious Sedation

For patients with moderate anxiety or those undergoing longer procedures, oral conscious sedation involves taking a prescribed sedative medication prior to your appointment. This produces a deeper state of relaxation than nitrous oxide. Many patients describe feeling drowsy or only vaguely aware of the procedure taking place. A trusted companion will need to drive you to and from your appointment.

IV Sedation

IV sedation offers the deepest level of conscious sedation available at our practice, administered directly through an intravenous line for precise control and rapid effect. This option is ideal for patients with significant dental anxiety, those undergoing extensive or complex procedures such as full mouth reconstruction or multiple implant placements, and anyone who wants to be as unaware of the procedure as possible while remaining medically safe and monitored throughout.
