Your Body’s Own Healing Power, Concentrated and Activated

At Dr. Roxanne Salavati's Beverly Hills practice, PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) therapy is a cornerstone of holistic, biological dental care. Rather than relying on synthetic materials or pharmaceuticals to support healing, PRF harnesses your body's own regenerative biology, using a small sample of your blood to create a powerful, natural healing matrix that accelerates recovery from the inside out.

Dr. Salavati incorporates PRF into implant placements, extractions, and a range of restorative procedures, giving her patients faster healing, reduced discomfort, and stronger long-term outcomes, all without introducing any foreign substances into the body.

What Is PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)?

PRF is a regenerative biological therapy derived entirely from your own blood. During your procedure, a small blood sample is drawn and processed using a specialized centrifuge, which separates and concentrates platelets, growth factors, and stem cells into a dense fibrin membrane.

This fibrin membrane, created using nothing more than your own biology, is then applied directly to the surgical site, where it actively accelerates tissue regeneration, reduces inflammation, and supports faster, stronger healing.

Because PRF is derived from your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction, rejection, or disease transmission. It is one of the safest and most biologically intelligent healing therapies available in modern dentistry.

How PRF Therapy Supports Your Dental Treatment

Faster, Stronger Healing After Dental Implants

Smoother Recovery After Tooth Extractions

Enhanced Gum & Bone Regeneration

Reduced Inflammation & Post-Operative Discomfort

1

Faster, Stronger Healing After Dental Implants

When used during implant placement, PRF significantly improves the speed and quality of osseointegration. The process by which an implant fuses with your jawbone. The concentrated growth factors in PRF stimulate bone regeneration at the implant site, helping create a stronger, more stable foundation and reducing the overall healing timeline.

2

Smoother Recovery After Tooth Extractions

PRF is highly effective in supporting socket healing following tooth extractions. Applied directly into the extraction site, PRF helps preserve bone volume, reduces the risk of dry socket, minimizes post-operative discomfort, and promotes faster, more complete soft tissue closure.

3

Enhanced Gum & Bone Regeneration

For patients undergoing bone grafting, gum recession treatment, or other regenerative procedures, PRF provides a powerful biological boost. The growth factors within PRF actively recruit the cells responsible for tissue repair, accelerating regeneration of both bone and gum tissue and improving the long-term success of these procedures.

4

Reduced Inflammation & Post-Operative Discomfort

Because PRF concentrates your body's natural anti-inflammatory and healing mediators directly at the treatment site, patients consistently report less swelling, less discomfort, and a noticeably smoother recovery compared to procedures performed without it.

Why Choose PRF Over Synthetic Healing Materials?

Many conventional dental practices rely on synthetic membranes, donor tissue, or pharmaceutical growth factors to support healing after surgical procedures. While effective, these materials are foreign to your body and carry some degree of risk — including potential immune response, rejection, or, in the case of donor tissue, disease transmission concerns.

PRF eliminates these risks entirely. Because the fibrin membrane is created from your own blood, your body recognizes it immediately and integrates it seamlessly into the healing process. This is holistic dentistry in its purest form — supporting your body using nothing but what your body already provides.
